A Picture's Worth.....


Space Observing System

The build-up to this (above) was certainly palpable. During the "quiet" stage, we had days of chaotic geomagnetic storms and disturbances from the 1st if March:

The "disturbances" continued throughout until about the 10th.

And then there's this.....

I don't know if these dips were due to instrument glitches or the readings actually registered accurately. If it's the latter, I have no idea what caused the dips. The first time I noticed it was on the 5th:

This went on for the next few days, around the same time everyday.


The reading at Space Weather Prediction Centre shows the same dip:
